Your Website: It’s Not “If You Build It They Will Come”
Your Company Website is not just as simple as: “If You Build It, They Will Come”
Not unless you tell them where you are and how to get there! Makes sense, right?
It’s more like:
#1. If you build a professional looking website that reflects your business’s Product or Service.
#2. It offers something to the potential customer that is of value (ie: professionalism/credibility, deals/savings ect).
#3. You have to let them know you exist & how to get there!
“Then they will come!”
Unfortunately, people that are new to the internet & just had a website created for them by a friend, themselves or even a web company, tend think that they will automatically be inundated with new business right away, with no efforts of marketing their new website. Unfortunately the internet medium is far different then other mediums such as TV, or print that they may have been used too. Sure it’s possible that with TV or print you might expect to see some immediate feedback/results. However what you have to remember is that in those mediums they already have a strong built in viewers / readerships. With the internet websites usually stand alone, with no followers right out of the gate.
So what’s the solution?
Marketing, marketing, marketing!!!
Tell them YOU EXIST!
Here are some simple things you can do that are effective and won’t break your piggy bank.
